Mount Patrnasse has always been one of the most emblematic mountains of Greece. The Oracle de Delphi, the Caver of Coryceion, the remains of the fortification complexes of Lilaia or Tichorea, the Grotto of Androutsos, are some of the monuments of the significant history of this place. Cosmopolitan Arachova to the solitary roads of Eastern Parnasse, this mountain has many faces, sometimes even contradictory. P>
Its proximity to the capital and the variety of activities it offers, made Parnassus very popular, even for a day trip. The main attraction are the ski resorts, the big hikes, the mountain race and cycling. Since 2008, a mountain race called "Parnassustrail" takes place every year, from Amfikleia, and when the snow melts, the ski slopes become downhill tracks. In an effort to maintain the integrity of its unique landscapes, the region has been declared National Park in 1938, the second largest Greece National Park after Mount Olympus. P>
