The Laplandsleden is the biggest thing to happen in the Swedish mountains in a very long time—a completely new, continuous trail between Hemavan in the north and Borgafjäll in the south. The Lapland Trail connects the Kungsleden in the north with the mountainous world of Jämtland in the south. For the new trail, thirteen bridges were built, an eight-kilometer span was laid, and one hundred and fifty signs were erected. In this atlas, you'll find all the information you need to plan and complete a mountain hike on the Lapland Trail. The majority of the atlas consists of detailed mountain maps at a scale of 1:50,000 covering the 190 kilometers of the route. You'll also receive a suggested stage division and descriptions of each section, as well as information on cabins, suitable tent sites, and how to get to the various starting points along the trail.
