Ideally located between Marseille and Toulon, between maritime and hinterland near Var, the Destel, this unknown, goes here for a "little verdon". Certainly there is no depth, nor the magnitude, but its preserved, wild and somewhat atypical framework for the region to seduce or even fascinate. He enjoys the climate Toulonnais with his winters Cléments and his national sunshine record. The multiple faces of its many sectors occupy all possible exposures and thus allow to play according to the seasons with the sun or with the shadow.
The climbing is possible all year long, even the days of mistral which it is pretty well sheltered. The climb is incredibly varied: in slab stiff walls or cracks of 4c to 7c, or in its many devils and caves whose destel to the secret and allow an ultra sport climbing until 8b. The choice of ways is equally complete since it goes from 20m from the big ways of 200m!
The hikes are numerous and fun, easily combinable between them according to our desires and our possibilities.
The exploration of the many caves, often inhabited from the Neolithic, sometimes adorned, adds a historical attraction to this unique and exciting place. The medieval village of Evenos, which dominates the ravine and whose history is intimately linked to that of the Destel is alone a goal of visit. Finally, two canyons, fun and easy access complement the range of activities.
