TOP TOURS AROUND BODØ is a ski guide to 89 mountains around Nordland's largest city. The book covers the regions of Reipå, Sandhornøya and Småtindan, Børvasstindane, Bodø and Valnesfjorden, Mistfjorden, Sjunkfjorden, and Beiarn. Per Kalsastinden rises from Børvasstindene and is a landmark for Bodøværingers and skiers. Småtindan further south is another well-known ski destination, while Sandhornøya was almost discovered in the winter of 2012. By boat from Festvåg to Breidvika, you enter the hiking paradise at Mistfjorden; here the peaks are close together, perfect for a spring trip in April or May. The idyllic Sjunkfjorden is surrounded by towering peaks, many of which are skiable on the north side, where you can find dry snow in May.
