Three major valleys cross this mapped region and offer varied, authentic and discovery-rich exploration .
- Aït Bouguemez Valley – The “valley of happy people”
Located in the heart of the M'Goun UNESCO Global Geopark , this valley is spectacular in spring with the apple blossoms, and in late summer when the orchards overflow with colorful fruit. Water murmurs between the trees, where impressively sized walnuts also ripen.
Perched on a secluded hilltop, this round fortified granary offers exceptional views and boasts several unique features. A must-see for hiking enthusiasts.
- Bou Tharar and the M'Goun massif
Around the summit of M'Goun (over 4000 m) , the trails promise rich experiences: authentic villages, deep gorges, ancient troglodyte dwellings overlooking crystal clear streams.
- Road from Tabant to the M'Goun valley
An itinerary not to be missed, punctuated by spectacular viewpoints of the High Atlas and numerous Berber kasbahs (tighermatin) with remarkable architecture.
- Dadès Valley – The Valley of Roses
In the region of El Kelâa M'Gouna , Damascus roses are cultivated and transformed into rose water. A fragrant and colorful region to discover.
- Jewish Cemetery of El Kelâa M'Gouna
Following the Dades Valley towards Boumalne , an old Jewish cemetery is revealed at the side of the road. The tombstones, nicknamed "monkey paws", are popular with photographers.
- The legendary hairpin bends of the Dadès Valley
The winding road built in 1933 climbs into the Dades Gorge. The valley then becomes wider, lined with villages all the way to M'Semrir . Rock carvings and traditional architecture punctuate the journey.
