The Chemin du Puy is the route taken by Bishop Godescalc in 950-951 to Compostela from Le Puy-en-Velay. Approximately 750 km long (1 month of walking), it crosses moving and varied landscapes, punctuated by major heritage sites.
From the volcanic lands of Velay, you will cross the granite massif of Margeride, the legendary plateau of Aubrac, before descending into the Lot valley. You will then reach the Causses du Quercy, the rolling Gascony, and finally, the foot of the Pyrenees…
Espalion, Conques, Cahors, Moissac, Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port will be the pearls of this path that, perhaps, you will extend beyond the Pyrenees towards Compostela, by the Camino francés.
