Why is La Compagnie des Cartes changing its name to Cartovia?
You've been exploring the world with us for 15 years . A hike in the Alps, a trek in Iceland, a road trip in Europe, Canada, or even the United States ... For all these years, you've come here looking for the right map at the right time , the one that illuminates an itinerary, opens up a possibility, or simply makes you dream.
But today, our project has become larger.
MapsCompany and La Compagnie des Cartes no longer said everything we are — nor everything we are becoming.
We don't just sell maps anymore. We help travelers plan their adventures , from the initial dream to the last mile—whether on foot, in a van, with family, or solo.
And we now want to speak to a wider audience , beyond French-speaking borders - to all those who share this same curiosity for the world, this desire to understand it, to get a little lost in it, and to find their way.
It is for them, for you, that we become Cartovia .
A simple, clear name, made for traveling, which evokes:

Cartovia is a brand designed as a trusted reference , but also as a source of inspiration and equipment for those who like to travel differently.

A new visual identity, inspired by travel
To support this change, we have completely redesigned our visual identity.
The new logo, which you will discover at the start of the school year, is both a nod to our roots and a step forward:
It evokes a folded map - a familiar object that we keep close to us - and a trace of a journey , one that we follow or draw along the way.
With it, a fluid typography, colors inspired by nature (soils, forests, rivers, clear skies), and a clear design, designed to last, like the journeys that matter.
But the bottom line remains the same: Cartovia is here to help you find your way , with complete confidence.
